Today we are bringing that experience to MacroHub along with stronger technology, broader datasets and more advanced features.

Dr. Murat Üçer

Co-Founder

A co-founder of MacroHub, leading the platform's economic framework, analytical modelling and content strategy. Studied at Boğaziçi University and completed a PhD in economics at Boston College. Served as an economist at international institutions including the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Institute of International Finance (IIF) and Credit Suisse. In Türkiye, held senior advisory roles at the Central Bank and the Undersecretariat of Treasury. Was for many years a co-founder of Turkey Data Monitor, Türkiye's leading macro data platform, and now carries that deep-rooted experience forward under MacroHub with a broader vision. Continues to serve as economic adviser to GlobalSource Türkiye and to teach part-time at Koç University.

Ercan Özcan

Co-Founder

A co-founder of MacroHub, leading business development, customer experience and marketing. Holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in international business and marketing strategy; has taken on senior management responsibilities in business development, marketing and consumer insight across a range of organisations. Combined that sector experience with an entrepreneurial track record to found Piri Research, and today actively runs international marketing research and customer experience projects under that umbrella. Also advises global brands across a range of sectors on customer experience, insight and strategy development.

Derya Karakaya

Senior Economist

Graduated from the Department of Economics at Galatasaray University. Joined the GlobalSource Türkiye team in 2006 and has been part of Turkey Data Monitor — the foundation on which MacroHub was built — since it was launched. Serves as a senior economist at MacroHub, managing the monitoring and analysis of the global and domestic economic agenda, data management and content development. Also is a senior economist at associated firm GlobalSource Turkey.

Seray Özcan

Senior Economist

Graduated from İzmir University of Economics with degrees in economics and foreign trade. Spent more than 14 years at Turkey Data Monitor, the foundation on which MacroHub is built. Serves as a senior economist at MacroHub and also manages marketing, customer relations and platform training.

Berk Tekayak

Economist

Graduated from the Department of Economics at Bilkent University and is currently studying for a master's degree in finance. Joined the Turkey Data Monitor team — the foundation on which MacroHub is built — in 2024. Serves as an economist at MacroHub, working on the monitoring and analysis of the global and domestic economic agenda.
